AllenHopkins.org — Recordings

Over the past twenty years, I've cut tracks on a dozen or more recordings, from vinyl 45's to CD's. These, to the best of my knowledge, are what are available and where to get them.

With Anne Price
Remember Me (2005 – CD only); My newest effort, all acoustic and largely traditional; I back Anne's lovely voice with concertina, mandolin, Dobro, harmonica, banjo and guitar – Rambles on-line magazine calls it a "great choice" and says I "play with skill and subtlety." Available from Anne's website or CD Baby.

With Bonnie Abrams
Wine, Woman and Song (1994 – cassette only); Bonnie's original "takes," on everything from the Gulf War to making Manischewitz wine

A Sudenyu of Yiddish Song (1996 – CD and cassette); songs from the Jewish tradition, plus one original, in arrangements from choral to klezmer to bluegrass

With Evy Mayer and Double Trouble
Double Trouble Live (1990 – cassette only); Recorded at house concerts in Brooklyn and Boston, with lots of rough-edged energy

Soup to Nuts (1995 – CD and cassette); a real variety, with harp, 12-string, ukulele, and percussion on ballads, torch songs, Hawaiian melodies — great vocal harmonies and strong arrangements

Humor Me! (1999 – CD and cassette); Evy and a bunch of friends do an all-fun album, with songs by Tom Lehrer, the Berrymans, Hank Williams and many others

On Sampler Records
Hills of Lorne (1989 – CD and cassette); Thistledown does a wonderful job on a full hour's worth of Scottish and Irish tunes, with great fiddling backed by hammered dulcimer, guitar, mandolins and concertina — fifteen years later and it's still selling

Reach to the Sky (1992 –cassette; 2000 – CD issued with new tracks); award-winning children's performer and Wolf Trap fellowship winner Sue Ribaudo provides songs and singing games, lively and involving
